Empowering Idaho Small Businesses with SBA Financing

Sep. 16, 2025 12:00 p.m.

Capital Matrix is one of only 5 companies in Idaho authorized to offer SBA 504 loans. But businesses don’t go directly to Capital Matrix—they go to their banks. That’s why it’s important for banks to understand the full range of financing tools available. Programs like the SBA 504 loan can be a powerful option for businesses looking to invest in real estate or equipment, and Capital Matrix plays a key role in making that happen. Ann Monroe will explain how the process works and how it’s helping grow small businesses throughout the region.

Fortify Risk Management

Oct. 14, 2025 12:00 p.m.

Fortify Risk Management – Building Resilient Businesses & Communities

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow’s Rotary meeting will feature a presentation from Fortify Risk Management, a Nampa-based firm that helps organizations identify, measure, and reduce risk — from natural disasters to insurance challenges to workforce safety.

Their team brings a unique approach that combines business resilience with community care. They help companies plan for the unexpected, recover faster after disruption, and even reinvest 10–15% of their profits back into local causes like the Boys & Girls Club and school support programs.

This will be a fascinating conversation for anyone interested in leadership, organizational health, and community resilience — values that align perfectly with Rotary’s mission of service above self.

Come ready to learn how businesses and service organizations alike can strengthen their ability to adapt, respond, and serve — no matter what challenges arise.

Yours in service,
Liz Alexander
President, Nampa Rotary Club

Days for Girls

Dec. 09, 2025 12:00 p.m.

Days for Girls International, a global movement turning periods into pathways for education, health, and dignity.

Around the world, millions of girls miss school each month simply because they don’t have access to basic menstrual care. Days for Girls is changing that — one kit, one girl, and one community at a time. They provide sustainable, reusable menstrual kits and life-changing health education, ensuring that girls can stay in school and thrive with confidence.

To date, Days for Girls has reached more than 3 million women and girls in over 145 countries, creating ripple effects of empowerment, education, and opportunity.

Days for Girls' mission is simple and powerful: “Every girl. Everywhere. Period.”

------------

This ties into all the the areas of focus for Rotary.

  • Eliminating trash is better for the environment.
  • Using washable materials means better sanitation and hygiene.
  • It supports women and children and increases literacy and education — because girls can stay in school instead of missing class when they don’t have menstrual protection.
  • Educated women help economies thrive.
  • And where there’s more equality, there’s more peace.

It’s all connected!

Death Doula Karen

Certified End-of-Life Doula & Grief Educator

Feb. 10, 2026 12:00 p.m.

We’re all going to die someday — and yet, it’s something we rarely talk about. This Tuesday, Karen will courageously lead us into that conversation, because careing for the dying is what she does for a living.

Have you ever heard of a death doula? We’ve all heard of birth doulas who help bring new life into the world — but death doulas help guide the transition out. Fascinating, right? Karen will share her experience as both a death doula and grief educator, helping families navigate one of life’s most profound journeys.

And how fitting that this talk comes just before Valentine’s Day, a time centered on love — the same love that shapes how we care for those at the end of life.

Join us for this special meeting where we’ll face the inevitable with grace, curiosity, and maybe even a bit of humor.
